Job Description
Department: Executive
Reports to: Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank Board of Directors
Employment Type: Full time exempt position with hours that may vary based on organizational needs, which will include evenings and weekends throughout the year.
The Executive Director is responsible for the overall administration, management and strategic guidance of the Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank including its staff, programs, facilities, events, fundraising, and partnerships. Areas of responsibility include oversight of internal operations as well as promotion of external affairs such as public relations, fundraising, and partnership development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to set and achieve organizational goals and vision
Community Engagement
- Responsible for identifying new outreach opportunities within Hamilton County
- Manages outreach opportunities within HCHFB community
- Manages existing partnerships with schools as well as identify ways to expand HCHFB within all schools in Hamilton County
- Maintain and develop new programs and partnerships with businesses to support HCHFB mission
- Expand the food bank’s reach through connections and partnerships with other organizations and community leaders to promote and reach HCHFB goals
Operations & Personnel Management
- Responsible for overseeing and managing all functions within organization
- Provide leadership to all staff which includes the Operations Coordinator, interns, and volunteers
- Responsible for HR functions of HCHFB
Fundraising & Grants
- Responsible for maintaining relationships with existing donors
- Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective donors
- Identify grant opportunities
- Oversee grant application process
- Responsible for event planning and overseeing all organization fundraising activities
Donor Relations
- Responsible for building relationships with potential donors of HCHFB
- Foster and expand relationships with current donors of HCHFB
Public Relations & Media
- Act as the spokesperson for HCHFB
- Oversee and manage HCHFB press releases
- Responsible for media appearances to promote HCHFB
- Act as the first point of contact for media inquiries of HCHFB
