Volunteer

Embrace Purpose:

Volunteer with Us and Be Part of a Movement to End Hunger in Our Community!

Volunteers and staff are the lifeblood of the Food Bank, handling everything from sorting and packing food to distributing it to pantries in our community. Their dedication and hard work ensure that the food is handled safely and efficiently.

Volunteering Opportunities

Warehouse Volunteers

By dedicating your time and energy to volunteering at a food bank, you contribute to a vital cause, help nourish those in need, and experience personal growth and fulfillment in the process. Even a few hours of volunteering can make a big difference in the lives of those facing hunger in your community.

First time volunteers must sign a waiver.

Fresh Produce Pickup Volunteers

The HCH Food Bank receives produce donations from various farms across Hamilton County from May to October. This includes collecting donations at the Fishers and Noblesville Farmers Markets on Saturdays.

Because this activity requires training, we would prefer to find volunteers who can commit to helping at least three (3) times through the season.

Employee Engagement Opportunities

Volunteer as a team to sort, pack, and distribute food at Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank. Partner with us to host a virtual giving campaign for your employees with a customized link for your organization. You can also organize an employee-matching gift program to multiply the impact of your team's donations.

Fresh Produce Sorting/ Meat Distribution Volunteers

Join us in making a difference by volunteering to sort and pack fresh produce and frozen meat options for distribution to local food pantries. Your efforts will ensure that healthy, nutritious food reaches families in need across our community.

Drivers and Seasonal Transport Volunteer Help

Help us keep the food flowing by volunteering as a driver or assistant with our food bank truck. You'll be involved in picking up groceries from local stores and assisting with scheduled holiday and school food drives, ensuring that food reaches those who need it most.

“Multiply the Harvest” Employee/Employer Donation Matching Program

Multiply the Harvest is an employer matching program that amplifies the impact of your donation. For every dollar or food item you contribute, your employer matches it, effectively doubling the support provided to families in need. Together, we can maximize our efforts to fight hunger and ensure that everyone in our community has access to nutritious food.

High School Ambassador Program

The HCHAP is an opportunity for 2 high school students to be chosen as representatives of the Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank at their respective schools.
