Carmel Mayor Sue Finkam, the City of Carmel, Lucas Oil and OneZone Chamber are joining together to host ”Rally for Relief”, a community-wide drive-through donation event to support Central Indiana families impacted by recent devastating flooding.

Community members are encouraged to drive through and drop off non-perishable food, household items or monetary donations to benefit flood victims and support the Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank and the Hamilton County Community Foundation.

“Carmel is consistently recognized as one of the best places to live because of our people,” said Mayor Sue Finkam. “When our neighbors are facing hardship, our community comes together. That is who we are. This is an opportunity for Carmel residents to once again show the generosity, compassion and willingness to help others that make this such a special place to call home.”

Katie Lucas said Lucas Oil is proud to open the Lucas Estate for this event and join the community in supporting those affected by the disaster.

“Our family and the Lucas Oil team love this community and are proud to call Indiana home,” said Lucas. “When people in our community are hurting, we believe it is our responsibility to to step up and help. We are honored to partner with Mayor Finkam and the City of Carmel to bring people together and support families as they recover and rebuild.”

“Rally for Relief” is designed to make giving simple and accessible. Community members can drive through the Lucas Estate between 4 and 7 p.m. and drop off donations that will support local relief efforts. Special thanks to A Classic Party Rental for generously donating a large tent to keep volunteers and drop-off operations covered during the event.
